This is Sara Sloane, Global Media sports correspondent for the Superheroine Battle Arena. In a surprising announcement this morning, general manager and CEO of the SBA–Commissioner X–announced that the Superheroine Battle League will be holding open tryouts, for any women with super powers that would like to compete in the SBA. For the next several weeks, any super-powered ladies who would like to visit the arena and demonstrate their battle skills against one of the arena SparBots is welcome to show their skills and possibly earn a spot on the SBA Roster.
Of course they must first prove that they do indeed have super powers and be willing to sign a waiver of liability. When asked if this was a desperate attempt to bolster the league’s numbers after half the roster was suspended because of an unscheduled brawl, Commissioner X answered “Shut up, Sara.”
