I had a lot of fun writing out this story arc. It began with me asking Molly if she minded me using her characters from the Danger Dolls in a superheroine wrestling story and some videos. It ended up being twice as long as I originally planned. It also ended up being way more epic in scope as the story kind of kept evolving.
I introduced a lot of story elements that didn’t exist in my Metrocity Universe prior to the story.
“The Tower” as the premiere superhero team. Commissioner X as a former hero of that team. Jade Detective in particular was just a throwaway name for the guy on their team that figured out stuff, and I only planned to mention him in passing in one of the chapters. Instead he became a pivotal character that I wouldn’t mind reading a whole comic series about. Same with Tamara Jones and the nine women that first show up at the open tryouts. The “ten” are literally just the default wrestling diva templates from WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011, and they were just supposed to make a brief appearance in the original tryout video where they all get humiliated then never show up again. Instead they became a central part of the story and the Domme’s evil plan and a major part of the action in the last couple videos.
There are new story arcs on the way featuring other comic original characters then a few of my own, but definitely plan on seeing Chickfighter in the ring again. And Amandla at some time in the future (unless anyone else has a good super-name to give to Tamara Jones).
