Superheroine Battle Arena – Tides of War, part 10

METROCITY

Superheroine Battle Arena

Announcer 1: We are here ringside for a great match-up. We have an actual princess from the lost continent of Lemuria, Siren. Up against a long-time rival, the dragon-powered assassin, Ninjako.

Announcer 2: Some of you may remember that both Ninjako and Siren were suspended from the league because of an unscheduled brawl in ring center.

Announcer 1: That’s right they had a mutual dislike that had been going on strong since before either of them were even in the Superheroine Battle League. What’s surprising is that there has not been a lot of chatter about this match. People seem to have forgotten about the rivalry between Siren and Ninjako, and everyone and his mother is talking about Siren vs Ms. Blitzen!

Announcer 2: That is for sure. Ms. Blitzen, a new face in the league from Angel Falls. In her very first appearance there was a verbal altercation between her and Siren. Then in Ms. Blitzen’s first sanctioned tag team match, Siren was at ringside cheering on her opponents, Ninjako and Midnight!

Announcer 1: And the crowd has been demanding a Siren/Ms. Blitzen match ever since. And the crowd has started cheering as our first wrestler is approaching the ring. And here comes Siren.

Announcer 2: Wow, look at the intensity on her face!

Announcer 1: She does certainly seem focused. I think people were too quick to dismiss a Siren/Ninjako match-up. Maybe some of that old, bad blood is starting to boil to the surface.

Announcer 2: Siren now in ring center… and yes, she is calling for a mic. Siren has never been shy to address the crowd, probably part of her royal upbringing. She has always been a popular public –

<BLEEP!> <BEEP!> <BLEEP! BLEEP!>

Announcer 1: Yikes! The censors are going to have their hands full keeping this safe for our television audience.

Announcer 2: Siren going on a hate-filled rant against… Ms. Blitzen! This is not the Siren the crowd knows and loves. Some of them are stunned. And… some of those words I don’t even recognize!

LOCKER ROOM A

SilverStar watched the screen and her mouth dropped at the stream of curses that Siren was spewing out against her friend. She talked over her shoulder, “Em… I know this sounds terrible, but you can’t let her get…” Sarah turned around and Ms. Blitzen was nowhere to be seen. The locker room door just clanged shut. “…oh, crap….”
