METROCITY
SBA Arena: Cafeteria
Ms. Blitzen was grabbing a strawberry-banana smoothie for Sarah. It was tense for a few hours as Dr. Sanji monitored a potential brain bleed in SilverStar. Once it was determined that she was stable, they sedated her and let her rest for the next twelve hours. The next day, under close supervision, Mukta had Sarah use her healing light just for about 30 seconds. It did wonders for her bodily injuries but it absolutely exhausted her.
Dr. Sanji had told her, “Let her rest and recover naturally for a bit. Get some of her energy back. This afternoon we’ll let her self-administer some more healing. I project she’ll be fully recovered within the next two days.” Emily was so relieved that she picked up the doctor and hugged her for long enough to be awkward.
“You must settle this blood feud,” came a garbled voice from behind her. Emily turned and saw a janitor leaning against his mop. “Hatred like this does not go out with the ebb of the tide. It needs to be sated in battle.”
Emily looked at him strangely. Who was this man with his creepy accent? “I can’t. She’s the only one in the world that I’m apparently not allowed to fight.”
“Not fight here. Yet, this is only one arena. There is another. Underground, away from the eyes of the surface.” He held out a piece of paper. “Secret arena. If you agree to fight, I know men that can provide.”
Emily took the paper, it had an address in the industrial section of Metrocity. “Is this for real?” The janitor nodded at her expectantly. “Then hell YES, I will fight her.”
