Superheroine Battle Arena – Tides of War, Final Battle, part 1

METROCITY

Underground Arena

The underground arena was more foreboding than the SBA. There were no cheering fans, just silent spectators looking for blood. No announcer just a menacing gong to signify the arrival of a fighter. Ms. Blitzen stood in the center of the ring and watched as Siren approached.

“This is insane,” she thought. “She may actually try to kill me. And I doubt anyone here will stop her.”

Siren climbed into the ring. No signature backflip, just an angry woman with clenched fists and jaw. She stared hard at Emily then said, “You ready, Atlantean?”

Emily snapped back at her, “See, that’s the difference between us. You hate me because of my heritage. I only hate you because you hurt my friend.” They both raised up their fists. There was an audible hum as the arena’s containment field turned on. Then suddenly the entire outside of the ring burst into flames.

They both hesitated, realizing that the heat and flames could be deadly to either of them. But it was too late to back out now. Siren yelled out a Lemurian battle cry and Ms. Blitzen bared her fangs and screamed in rage.
